Lee Pownall began her career as a Gold and Silversmith at RMIT in 1968. Establishing her business in 1974 in Brighton (Melb) later in Surfers Paradise and now in Brisbane, she continues to design and create her bespoke unique style for both national and International clients.

Lee has been teaching the trade apprentice course at the Southbank Institute of Technology in Brisbane since 2004. After running the workshop in her family retail businesses for over 30 years the teaching position has allowed her the time to expand and experiment with different techniques. 

Lee is a fellow of the Gold and Silversmiths Guild of Australia.
